Successful test of the catalyst prepared in Petrochemical Research and Technology Company in Maroon Petrochemical Company

For the first time in the country one of the most important HDPE catalysts was designed by polymer research group in Petrochemical Research and Technology Company, an affiliate of National Petrochemical Company, and prepared on industrial scale in cooperation with Maroon Petrochemical Company and subsequently its test production in Maroon HDPE unit with annual capacity of 300 thousand tons was successfully carried out. Further to be mentioned that this catalyst on which recently western suppliers have imposed an embargo, is used in production of pressure pipe, film, high strength fiber and molded parts.
