Corrosion Research Team
Mission:
Policy making, planning, coordinating, determining priorities, as well as defining, and execution of research activities pertaining to corrosion and petrochemical industries requirements.
Objectives:
Reduction in corrosion damage in petrochemical industries.
Extension and promotion in technical knowledge of managers, researchers, and corrosion experts.
Coordination of scientific, technical, and research corrosion activities in petrochemical industries.
Plans:
Recognizing and determining corrosion research priorities in petrochemical industries.
Defining, execution, and supervision of research projects in direction with corrosion team objectives.
Holding technical brainstorming meetings, gatherings, and seminars on corrosion.
Establishing data banks of centers, research institutes, and industrial and academic researchers.
Establishing close interaction and cooperation with R&D departments of complexes, universities, and their affiliated research centers.

Study of anti-corrosion performance of triple-layer polyolefin (PP.HDPE) coatings of pipelines.
Study of inhibitability of imidazole derivatives as alternatives tochromate compounds.
